What Deion Sanders Said After Colorado's Comeback Win
After their verbal spats pushed their college football battle Saturday night to a prizefighting level, Deion Sanders and Jay Norvell are moving on.
Sanders and Norvell had a brief but courteous interaction on the field and were somber in their final statements after Colorado's 43-36 double-overtime triumph over Colorado State.
Great that he's head coach. I am sincerely glad for any brother who is succeeding. I don't know where this came from, but I must answer.
The dust appears to have cleared on Colorado and Colorado State's Saturday night clash after all the excitement.
I don't know him but I'm delighted for him. Best wishes for him. Since my success is unrelated to his, why wouldn't I want him to succeed?
Earlier this week, Norvell claimed "When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off" in reference to Sanders.
Colorado State dominated much of this game when safety Shilo Sanders recovered an interception 80 yards for a score to make it 7-0.
Colorado State nearly lost when Shedeur Sanders' 45-yard touchdown throw to Jimmy Horn Jr. with 36 seconds left tied the game at 28 and forced overtime.
