VIKINGS TRADE PITCH SENDS KIRK COUSINS TO AFC FOR HIGH DRAFT PICK
A couple more losses in the coming weeks might make the Minnesota Vikings tradeable at the NFL's mid-season deadline.
Outside linebacker Danielle Hunter and quarterback Kirk Cousins are two high-profile trade-block prospects for the Vikings in 2023.
Both wanted multiyear extensions this summer but were refused. The Vikings raised Hunter instead of adding years or money to Cousins' contract.
Both players may not return to purple and gold next season, but Cousins will likely leave before 2024.
All-Pro Justin Jefferson, rookie breakthrough star Jordan Addison, and recently extended tight end T.J. Hockenson lead Minnesota's dangerous pass attack.
However, a tough schedule over the next five weeks might knock the Vikings out of the division and wildcard races early.
After quarterback Aaron Rodgers' season-ending Achilles injury, former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum suggested the New York Jets as Cousins' most likely trade partner on ESPN's Get Up on Friday.
Let's rebuild if I'm the Minnesota Vikings and I can't beat the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and other NFC powers.
