Seahawks Elevate Same Pair Of Defensive Players For Lions Game

After the Lions upset the reigning Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, the Seattle Seahawks attempt to win their first game of the season in a loud and hostile environment.

Fans know that the Hawks will play without starting tackles Abe Lucas and Charles Cross after losing both to injury in Week 1's defeat to the Los Angeles Rams.

With that in mind, many expected the Seahawks to employ practice squad elevations to add tackle depth,

but they elevated the same two players in Week 2 as they did in Week 1.

Cornerback Artie Burns and linebacker Jon Rhattigan are likely to play on special teams, but Burns played 17 defensive snaps as the nickel cornerback in Week 1.

It will be interesting to see how the Seahawks rotate Coby Bryant, Burns, and Devon Witherspoon against the Lions.
